Earlier this month, Huawei announced that it was going to host a new product meeting on 13th January 2021 in Beijing. Although the company did not reveal the purpose behind the meeting, several reports suggested that it was going to launch its new MateBook X and X Pro laptops along with the upgraded version MateBook 13 and MateBook 14.

However, that is not all. According to a recent leak by Chang’an Digital Jun on Weibo, the company is working on a couple of new products including a new HiSilicon Kirin 820E chip, a Huawei smart screen device, a powerful tablet, and Huawei Mate X’s successor. Despite its smartphone business being collateral amidst the US-China trade war, the company is trying to stay afloat by keeping other parts of its business rolling.

The leak reveals that the company will host two other launch events in March and June. Hence, the said product meeting set for later today will only focus on the MateBooks. The folding phone will allegedly break covers in March while other products will launch in Q3 2021.

As per previous reports, the laptops set to launch later today will use the new 11th generation Intel Core chips + low voltageNvidia MX 450 GPU. The MateBook 13 and 14 will also be an upgrade over their predecessors internally. It is expected that the overall design of the laptops will not change. However, they will all come with an upgrade in terms of processing power and displays. On top of the hardware upgrades, Huawei is allegedly working on software updates as well. Notably, the new devices will come with a new PC version of the Huawei App Store.
