Huawei is looking to break fast charging records soon as the company recently had a 135W fast charger certified in China. Currently, the fastest charging available on a smartphone is 120W and Huawei may surpass that soon with an upcoming smartphone.

The 135W charger has been certified by China’s 3C agency which reveals that it has a model number HW-200675CP0 and should be coming soon.

The leaked certification shows that the charger will support 5V/3A all the way up to 20V/6.75A, which equals a whopping 135W. The 120W supporting Mi 10 Ultra is able to charge completely in 24 minutes, but the Vivo iQOO Pro 5 can do so in 15 minutes since it has a smaller battery. Hence, depending on the battery size, a Huawei phone with support for 135W charging should charge from 0 to 100% in between 15-30 minutes.

Huawei’s next flagship is expected to be the P50 series and we can only expect to see top tier fast charging in premium phones such as that. The highest-end P50 Pro+ may be the only phone in the series with support for 135W charging, but we recommend taking this info with a pinch of salt as it is only speculation.
