Something exciting is on its way. 2018 is almost about to end but there is no end to trailblazing smartphones from different brands. After successfully launching A3, A3s and A5, OPPO is back again with a new product, the OPPO A7. OPPO’s A-series is known for their mid-range specs and the best thing about them may just be their competitive price. You get few flagship features in a device at half that price usually.

Let’s talk about this new product. What do we know about it so far?

Bigger Battery

OPPO A7 is powered by a 4230 mAh battery which can last for two days on normal usage. A lot has been done by OPPO in the battery department to bring convenience to the lives of the users. For example, the all-time favorite VOOC Flash Charge, and a good habit of maintaining the battery capacity standard set at 3000 mAh or above in almost every phone is phenomenal.  A mid–range device with a big battery is very much in demand and the need of the users. With a battery of such capacity, one can take a day off from charging their phone.

Processor

A7 will be using the all-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor to speed up daily operations. With this processor, users can enjoy snappy performance without worrying about lag or their applications being killed. Snapdragon is popular among the masses for its durability and quality performance. With OPPO choosing Qualcomm over MediaTek, we can surely be certain that A7’s performance will live up to our expectations.

Design and Display

This will be the first phone in the A series to use the famous water-drop notch which OPPO first introduced in its promising device the OPPO F9. OPPO A7 features a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD display of 1520 x 720p resolution. The notch is inspired by a water-drop and it has been praised by many as the best notch available in the market so far. Similar to the F9, the notch on the A7 houses the front camera hence giving a more immersive viewing experience.

Color

OPPO has always impressed the users with its product color scheme. After the beautiful gradient colors on the F9, the OPPO A7 will be available in two colors, glaze blue and glaring gold. Glaze Blue is a new color, which gives shades of both green and blue when viewed from certain angles. Glaring Gold color on the other hand adds a more premium look to this mid-range device.

OPPO has invested a lot of effort when we talk about design and the battery. There’s the VOOC Flash Charge which has been a huge success. And now with their mid-range device, they are providing us with a bigger battery and a processor that can efficiently make use of it.

The bottom line is that a phone with a water-drop notch, an immersive display, and a big battery that can easily last for two days, is a blessing. For those users who spend hours watching Netflix, Youtube and gaming on their smartphones, OPPO A7 can serve as the perfect choice as they entertain themselves for hours without worrying about charging. Considering the battery and the display size, something big is surely on its way to us.
