E-Ticketing System is Now Being Rolled Out in Islamabad

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), in collaboration National Bank of Pakistan and JS Bank, has started to rollout the e-ticketing system in Islamabad. Traffic violators can now pay their challans in seconds and get their documents back from the traffic warden right away.

The system has been initiated on a trial-run basis in 10 different locations across Islamabad.

E-Challan Solution

ITP has deployed 70 trained personnel for implementation of this new e-ticketing challan solution. The system has been launched at following locations for now;

• Faisal Chowk
• Melody Chowk
• Zero Point
• F-8 Exchange Chowk
• Secretariat Chowk
• Radio Pakistan Chowk
• Dhokri Chowk
• Aabpara Chowk

Here is how the system works;

The traffic warden issues the challan through a mobile app. The violator, who has been fined, receives the due bill through the SMS service. The violator can then pay the challan through JS Mobile Wallet app in just 30 seconds. The traffic officer will receive a confirmation message once payment is made.

Officer will then return the document to the violator on the spot. This is a huge step towards facilitating public as people won’t have to wait in queues to pay their challan.

There are several other payment solutions available as well. People can pay their challan through National Bank of Pakistan branches and 1,760 other locations in the city.
