“Since I failed to act on my own beliefs, I deem I am no more eligible to represent Pakistani culture in a political party and hence, I am resigning as Sec. Culture PTI.”

He has not mentioned his project or the movie anywhere in his status, it is quiet evident that the decision came about post the release of his movie “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani”‘s promo launched the same day. Here is the promo released on 31st March 2015 of the upcoming Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humayun Saeed, Wasay Chaudhry and Ahmed Ali Butt project “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani”:

Though I am not personally a huge fan of Hamza Ali Abbasi’s acting, this act of complete honesty has touched and inspired me. After all, there should be someone in Media & Politics who can stand firmly on their values and beliefs and not be afraid to make their voice heard out of the fear of being “unpopular”. Thumbs up Hamza!
