Political Career of Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

His career started in politics when he was given the green light by Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz to contest the election from NA 49 for the place at National assembly in 2002. However , he lost that year.

Then again in 2008 , he contested from the same constituency under the banner of PML -N and this time around was able to win the election by a land slide and earned a place in the national assembly as a result.

He was able to win in elections held in 2013 from the same NA 49 seat and again held his position as member of National assembly of Pakistan. He also held the presidential position of islamabad wing for PML -N.

It was not until 2015 November , when he inducted into the federal cabinet when nawaz sharif came into power during his 3^rd term as the Prime minister. He was then given the role of Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development . He was however unable to keep the position for long as nawaz was found guilty in panama papers case.

When shahid khaqan abbasi became the prime minister, dr. Tariq was again called upon to occupy his position Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development and was reinstated into the federal cabinet .
