His father Sardar Haji Wahid Bux Khan Sarki is also a very influential personality from many years. Academically he is a sound person and holds the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Dow Medical College Karachi. Professionally he is a doctor.

Sohrab Khan Sarki Career in Politics
Dr. Sohrab Khan Sarki is a famous politician in current Sindh Assembly whose tenure spans from the year 2013 to date. He is working for the constituency of PS-15 Jacobabad-Cum-Kashmore-I (Old Jacobabad-III). He is affiliated with the famous party Pakistan People’s Party. Dr. Sohrab Khan Sarki has also travelled abroad for attending different conferences. In 199 he went to United Kingdom as a Member of Provincial Assembly, later he again went to United Kingdom for 10 days for common wealth visit. He is a mature politician who has served at many responsible positions and brought changes for his constituency. Previously he has served thrice as a Member in Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 1993-1997, 1997-1999 and 2002-2007. This along highlights the influence he holds in politics of his constituency. Recently he is also serving as a Member of Standing Committee on Finance, Standing Committee on Home, Standing Committee on Primary Health (BHU, HRC and Vertical Programs) and Secondary Health (Rest of Health) as Chairperson.
