Public Execution Of Zainab’s Murderer Imran Ali

Alleged suspect in Zainab’s rape and murder case have been arrested and confirmed after the detailed report of Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA). His DNA was 100% match with the sample DNA collected from victim’s body. All these details have been revealed by the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif in a press conference, in which he further told media that all this made possible with the collective efforts of different departments including Military and Civil Intelligence agencies, Punjab Police Department, and PFSA.

In the press conference, CM Punjab was joined by the Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and father of the victim girl. Zainab’s father asked CM and Lahore High Court (LHC) to punish the culprit in an exemplary manner because the suspect has confessed 6 other similar cases of rape and murder in Kasur over the period of last 2 years. Mr. Shahbaz Sharif also suggested hanging the culprit in front of the public to set an example, and later in the press conference, Zainab’s father also express the same punishment for the suspect Imran Ali. They said we will check with our judicial system if public execution for this culprit is an option, otherwise, if they have to make some changes in the legislation they will submit the bill in the parliament for this.

In this regard opinion for the general public is also very clear in social media that they also want him to be executed in public to set an example. Mother of the victim Zainab said the only death penalty is not enough for this murderer and serial killer, she further said he should be tortured by cutting his hands first and then executed in public. Religious scholars in the country said he should be punished according to the Shariat, which is he should be stoned to death. this Phenomenon is known as “Sangsar”, where the suspect is buried up to his chest in the ground and stoned to death.
