Lahore High Court has reserved the verdict on the petition in which petitioner asked for the disqualification of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif from the public office. Shahbaz Sharif appeared in front of the Combined Investigation Team (CIT) for the inquiry regarding alleged corruption in Ashiana Housing Scheme and he is accused of awarding the contract of Ashiana Housing Scheme to a company of his interest instead of the successful bidder.

During the court hearing, the petitioner argued that the holder of a public office cannot hold two positions at the same time whereas Mian Shahbaz Sharif as a CM of Punjab Province also holding the position for the Chairman of Punjab Mass Transit Authority.  Therefore he asked the LHC to disqualify him under the article 63 of the constitution.  Therefore Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved the verdict on this case on Tuesday by a bench of LHC.
