Bollywood Celebrities Accused Of Harassment: Part Two

#MeToo movement has startled the Indian Showbiz industry. It has shed light on the harsh conditions women had to work in over the years. Several mroe women were brave enough to come out and share their experiences.
- Indian Actor Rajat is being accused of sexual advances by several women.Two women shared their incidents with Sandhya Menon, an Indian journalist: the conversation was shared on her twitter account.
As soon as the news spread Rajat Kapoor apologized if he has ever made anyone uncomfortable through his actions.
- Filmmaker Subhash Ghai was accused of rape. An anonymous woman alleging that he spiked her drink and then sexually assaulted her. The women shared her account through Mahima Kukreja Twitter, Kukreja is also the first women to accuse comedian Utsav Chakraborty of sexual harassment last week.
- Several women came forward with their stories after a thread was started to condemn the Indian Comedian. These women replied to Mahima Kukreja tweet where she accused Utsav to have sent her pictures of his genitalia and later cried that if she shared with someone, his career will be ruined. Utsav Chakraborty has been accused of sending sexually explicit images to minor girls and women on Twitter plus snapchat and asking minors to send ‘nudes’. Due Allegation AIB also announced that he is not associated with the group till further notice.
After the uproar on twitter Ustav posted apologetic statement: “I don’t know what to say here and fight back (or even if I should)… the whole thing is far more complicated than it appears. I am not discrediting anyone… this whole thing needs a lot of patience and an incredible amount of context. Which I will give. Hopefully sooner “than later.”
He further posted some more statements, claimed that he has an illness with no cure but it’s stupid to justify his acts through that.
- Saloni Chopra has accused three men: writer-director Sajid Khan of sexual harassment when she worked as his assistant, was subjected to physical abuse when she was in a relationship with actor Zain Durrani and accused film director Vikas Bahl of “sexist” behaviour. She shared her story about Sajid Khan in a blog post and two other women Karishma Upadhyay and Rachel White also accused Sajid Khan.
After the accusation Akshay Kumar, one of the cast in House Full 4 asked the director to halt shooting as long as the accusations are not proved false or true. It further stated that he will not work with figure proven guilty of harassment. Regarding the Matter Sajid Khan also tweeted.
- An FIR is registered by a cousin against actor Jeetendra for a sexual assault incident that took place 47 years ago.
Jeetendra She said that he had arranged a meet from New Delhi to Shimla at the set of his shoot and during her stay he returned to the hotel room drunk and sexually assaulted her. He was 28 at the time and girl was 18. The investigations will take place under the old law provisions of 1971 when the alleged assault took place.
- A photojournalist Natasha Hemrajani has alleged that singer Kailash Kher sexually harassed her back in 2006. She shared in a series of tweets “I was sent with my colleague, a woman journalist, to take pictures of Kailash Kher at his home for an interview. During the interview, this creep sat between us as close to us as he could. He also kept putting his hands on our thighs (on the skin above our skirts).” Kailash Kher replied that he was disappointed to hear an incident that he doesn’t remember ever happened:
“I am usually in my own simple world, but in case anyone has taken or thought something differently about anything, then it is my sincere apology. My devotion to music makes me who I am and I am thankful for all the love and support,”
Aishwarya Rai claimed that Salman Khan harass her in an interview. Both were in a relationship during 90’s. Salman Khan was not only physically abusive throughout the relation but in 2002 Ms Rai claimed that he was harassing her because he couldn’t cope up with break up term. Salman hounded her and emotionally abused her as well. They broke up after Salma Khan confessed that he cheated on her.
Salman responded to her allegations. He said, “I have never beaten her. I get emotional and hurt myself. I have banged my head against the wall but I cannot hurt anyone else.”
