The US-based platform of Binance is expanding its support for cryptos by adding DogeCoin to the list of their listed coins. They publicized the news in their twitter post followed by a blog post.

The US-based platform has recently listed many other cryptos on their exchange including IOTA, BUSD, Cardano (ADA), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Stellar (XLM) and 0x (ZRX) and is still looking to list other coins swiftly.

Besides, Binance has also been on the front lines in bringing innovations to its platform throughout the year. A while back Binance announced that it would also start supporting fiat currencies on its platform in addition to cryptos. A few days after this news, taking swift steps, Binance listed their first fiat on their exchange.

Recently, the company announced the opening of a fiat-to-crypto gateway for Nigeria’s Naira (NGN). These deposits will be facilitated by the online payments solution company, Flutterwave. Since this type of listing is new even for Binance, they have decided to celebrate this occasion by giving discounts to people who deposit NGNs.

According to their blog, “..all newly registered users who deposit NGN to Binance through Flutterwave will enjoy zero fees for deposits up to 36,000 NGN starting October 24, 2019.” They have also promised to reward NGNs to new customers on the platform who make deposits.

Binance has committed a total of 10,000 USD worth of NGN to give to our newly registered users worldwide. Rewards will be distributed based on the first-come-first-served manner.

Speaking at Open Innovations conference in Moscow, Russia, the CEO of Binance Changpeng Zhao (CZ) also hinted that Binance would be opening fiat trading for the Russian currency Ruble. CZ stated:

We’re adding support for fiat trading. In about two weeks or so, we should have support for Russian ruble trading, direct.

This might be a great step by Binance to increase the accessibility of crypto around the world especially in countries like Nigeria. For countries like Russia where the Russian crypto community is one of the most active crypto spaces in the world, it might help the adoption of not only BTC through Binance’s platform but also their native tokens BNB and BUSD.
