42 Days Until Bitcoin Goes 10x to $100,000

“I am a time-traveler from the future, here to beg you to stop what you are doing” is the title of the Reddit post that prophesied the price of bitcoin will 10x every two years, starting from 2015. The post was created more than six years ago on August 31, 2013 and it says that bitcoin’s price will be  $1,000 in 2015, $10,000 in 2017 and $100,000 in 2019. It also says that bitcoin will reach up to $1,000,000 in 2021, another 10x two years from now but this million dollar BTC prophecy won’t matter if bitcoin doesn’t reach $100,000 in next 42 days.

Bitcoin’s price after 2021 is not prophesied as devaluation of the U.S dollar is mentioned and it is also prophesied that there won’t be a central bank currency in the world by that time. Facebook’s Libra or some other cryptocurrency might become the global reserve currency.

Continued devaluation of the U.S dollar by the Fed seems to be taking the world towards making this prophecy come true. The recession warnings, the U.S-China trade war, the inverted yield curve; are some of the factors that might contribute towards this prophecy to become self fulfilling.

Fundstrat’s Tom Lee had presented a framework for bitcoin price to be $125,000 by 2022, based over the projected growth of money supply and a forecast for the ratio of the alternative currencies to money supply.

The OP of Reddit post says that there would be about 19 million bitcoin in circulation out of 21 million as some would have been lost forever. With a global population of above 7 billion and an uneven distribution of wealth, the average ownership of bitcoin would be around 0.001 btc.

Though very far fetched, we might one day be looking at $2.2 million dollar per bitcoin if the 46.8 million millionaires of the world decide to hold one bitcoin each.
